# Server Settings

The **Settings** page contains server-wide options that affect how Asagi behaves across your server.

Open your server in the [Asagi Dashboard](https://asagi.xyz/dashboard), then select **Settings** from the sidebar.

### Available Settings

The page currently contains four sections:

* Bot Masters
* Language
* Time Zone
* Default Embed Color

### Bot Masters

Bot Masters are users who can access and configure the Asagi dashboard for the server.

The Settings page separates them into two groups:

#### Administrator Roles

Any Discord role with the **Administrator** permission is automatically treated as a Bot Master.

These roles are detected from Discord and cannot be added or removed from this list through Asagi.

#### Additional Bot Master Roles

You can grant dashboard access to roles that do **not** have Discord Administrator permission by adding them as Additional Bot Master Roles.

Only the **server owner** or a user with **Administrator** permission can change this list. Existing Bot Masters without Administrator access can see the setting but cannot modify it.

### Language

**Language** sets Asagi's default language for this server.

Choose the language you want Asagi to use for server-facing messages and supported features, then save your changes.

> **Note:** This is a server setting. It is separate from the language used by the dashboard interface itself.

### Time Zone

**Time Zone** sets the default time zone Asagi uses for time-based server features.

This is especially important for features that depend on dates or schedules, such as reminders and birthday-related actions.

The dashboard can detect your browser's current time zone. If it differs from the server's saved time zone, you can use the detected value directly.

> **Tip:** Set the server time zone before creating scheduled automation so that times are easier to understand and maintain later.

### Default Embed Color

**Default Embed Color** controls the default color Asagi uses for embeds on this server.

Use the color picker to choose a color. The dashboard also shows a preview so you can see how the color will look before saving it.

### Saving Changes

Changing a setting does not immediately overwrite the saved configuration. The dashboard warns you when there are unsaved changes.

Review your changes, then save them to apply the new configuration to the server.

If you leave the page with unsaved changes, pay attention to the dashboard warning so you do not lose work accidentally.

### If a Setting Is Locked or Unavailable

A setting can be unavailable when:

* your account does not have permission to change it;
* Discord's role hierarchy prevents you from managing a selected role;
* the role is managed by Discord or another bot;
* the option requires Premium;
* Asagi temporarily cannot retrieve the required server information.

The dashboard hides or disables role options that cannot be used safely.
