# Reminders

Reminders lets you schedule messages for automatic delivery to a Discord channel. A reminder can be sent once at a specific date and time, or repeat on a schedule with Premium.

Everything on this page is configured from **Dashboard → Content Creation & Utilities → Reminders**.

### Create a Reminder

1. Open **Reminders**.
2. Select **New reminder**.
3. Give the reminder a title.
4. Choose the destination **Channel**.
5. Create a custom message or select one from **My Templates**.
6. Configure the **Schedule**.
7. Select **Save and close**.

Reminder titles can contain up to **32 characters**.

### Message

Choose between:

* **Custom** — create the reminder message directly with the Embed Editor;
* **My Templates** — reuse one of your saved Embed Messages templates.

A custom message can contain text, embeds, or both.

When a reminder is linked to **My Templates**, future deliveries use the current version of that template.

### One-time Reminders

Choose **One-time** when the message should be sent once.

Select a future **Date and time**, then save the reminder. After a one-time reminder is successfully delivered, it is completed and no longer counts as an active reminder.

One-time reminders can be scheduled up to:

* **30 days ahead** on Free;
* **730 days ahead** with Premium.

### Recurring Reminders

**Recurring** reminders require Premium.

Choose how often the reminder should repeat:

* 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, or 30 minutes;
* 1, 2, 4, 8, 12, or 24 hours.

You can also configure:

* a **Start date**;
* an optional **End date**;
* all days or selected days of the week;
* a **Daily start time** and **Daily end time** when the schedule should run within a specific part of the day.

Leaving the end date empty keeps the recurring reminder without a fixed end date.

#### Server Timezone

Recurring schedules use the server timezone saved with the reminder. Make sure the timezone in [**Server Settings**](/getting-started/server-settings.md#time-zone) is correct before creating the schedule.

If you later change the server timezone, open and save the recurring reminder again when you want that reminder to follow the new timezone.

#### Anti-spam Protection

Recurring reminders include anti-spam protection for quiet channels.

If the latest message in the destination channel was already sent by Asagi, the next recurring delivery can be skipped instead of posting another Asagi message immediately. Once another message becomes the latest message in the channel, a later scheduled delivery can post normally.

### Limits

| Feature             |        Free |      Premium |
| ------------------- | ----------: | -----------: |
| Active reminders    |       **5** |       **50** |
| Scheduling horizon  | **30 days** | **730 days** |
| Recurring reminders |          No |      **Yes** |

The scheduling horizon limits how far into the future you can choose a date. A Premium recurring reminder can still use **No end date**.

### Manage Reminders

The **Your reminders** page shows active reminders.

You can:

* search reminders by title;
* filter between all, one-time, and recurring reminders;
* sort by recently updated or upcoming time;
* open a reminder to change its channel, message, or schedule;
* delete a reminder you no longer need.

Deleting a reminder permanently removes its future schedule.

### Permissions and Troubleshooting

The destination can be a text or announcement channel. Asagi needs **View Channel** and **Send Messages** there. A reminder containing embeds also requires **Embed Links**.

If a configured channel is deleted or Asagi loses access to it, the reminder cannot be delivered. Asagi can surface the delivery problem through dashboard notifications.

If a recurring reminder is not posting every time you expect, also check the [**Anti-spam Protection**](#anti-spam-protection) behavior above.
